According to the provisions of Point 1.9, Clause 1, Article 3 of Decision No. 1313/QD-BHXH dated December 2, 2014 of Vietnam Social Insurance on issuing the health insurance card model, “Duration of 05 consecutive years:…” is allowed. printed at the bottom of the health insurance card for those who have paid health insurance for 5 consecutive years, helping health insurance participants and medical facilities determine the time of health insurance payment.
When the health insurance participant has participated in health insurance for 5 consecutive years or more. will be issued a “Certificate of non-co-payment during the year” and receive 100% of medical examination and treatment costs covered by health insurance for subsequent medical examinations and treatment (except in cases where you go for medical examination and treatment at the wrong level).
Participants of health insurance do not have to pay the co-pay 5% or 20% of the cost of medical treatment (applicable only to the case of going to the right medical clinic).
Employees participating in health insurance for 5 consecutive years or more but without the words certifying the health insurance card, the participants should go to the social insurance agency to declare the process of participating in health insurance on form TK1-TS issued together with Decision No. Decision No. 959/QD-BHXH dated September 9, 2015 of the General Director of Vietnam Social Insurance to be issued a replacement health insurance card. Within 5 working days from the date of receipt of a complete dossier, the social insurance agency will be responsible for reviewing and determining the period of participation in health insurance for 5 consecutive years and printing a new health insurance card if any.
