Legal basis:
➨ Article 30 of the 2020 Law on Enterprises: Enterprises must register with the business registration authority when changing the contents of the business registration certificate as prescribed in Article 28 of this Law.
➨ Article 28 of the 2020 Law on Enterprises: The legal document number of individuals (i.e. ID card/passport number) of the following persons is one of the contents of the business registration certificate, including:
• Partnership members of a partnership company;
• Business owner of a private enterprise;
• Legal representative of a limited liability company and a joint stock company.
➨ Article 36 of the 2019 Law on Tax Administration also stipulates: When there is a change in tax registration information, taxpayers must notify the direct tax administration agency within 10 working days from the date of occurrence of the change information.

Accordingly, IT IS MANDATORY TO UPDATE ID CARD or other changed information ON BUSINESS REGISTRATION
In addition, enterprises must complete the procedure to update information for legal representatives on Business Registration to the tax authority within 10 working days from the date of occurrence of the change information.
Beyond this deadline, enterprises may be fined according to Article 44 of Decree 122/2021/ND-CP from 3,000,000 VND to 30,000,000 VND.
