As a leader, I often assign tasks to other members. The key issue here is how to get the job done on time and with quality assurance? In my experience, to achieve the above two goals, the person assigned the job needs to clearly understand the requirements and see the importance of the job. Therefore, I often spend time explaining clearly the context in which the work arises, the relevant data, and the results that must be achieved after the work is completed. Sometimes, if I already have a solution for the job, I can suggest it to the job recipient, but the priority is still their own solution.
The clearer the problem is transferred, the smoother the work. That’s my motto
