1. Project overview
When it comes to the Vietnamese cinema market, we often immediately think of the “big guys” CGV, Galaxy, Lotte or BHD. Recently, another “little guy” has also emerged in Central Vietnam, which is the Starlight cinema system of NTH cable television joint stock company.
Reaching NTH customers without much experience in the field of entertainment and cinema. Our biggest difficulty is how to “conquer” customers into believing that they are fully capable of doing the job even though they do not have much experience in the field of entertainment or cinema management.

Hue is the 6th center of the Starlight cinema and entertainment system. Most recently opened on June 17, 2017 in Hue. This is also Starlight’s first location to convert to cinema management software provided by Viet Vang. The next centers such as Da Nang, Quy Nhon, Buon Ma Thuot… will also be deployed in the near future.

2. Main functions of the project
- Cinema management software (including self-arranging theater layouts – The first Vietnamese company dare to do and succeed in this function)
- General counter software (Allow customers to freely choose the stall they want to define: Corn and Drink Counter, Bowling Counter, Café Counter, Ice Cream Counter, Fast Food Counter…)
- Management Web part for Starlight managers with a detailed authorization system for each department, who has rights What to do and what to see is defined in the most detail. This function is also the first time a Vietnamese entertainment company has implemented the function of viewing instant revenue. That is, at any time, just from a remote Tablet, the Director or Chief Accountant can view LIVE revenue of any branch, by each area within that branch.< /li>
- The customer’s new Web page section integrates directly with the system to help users book tickets conveniently. Customers can buy tickets directly, or make reservations through the phone switchboard. Regarding payment, Viet Vang has worked directly with third parties such as 123 pay, 123phim to connect payments when there is a booking from a third party.
- The project’s statistical report is also flexible, customers can customize it based on actual requirements. .

3. Conclude
About testing and quality assurance work:
We aim to find the Error and “eradicate” the Error. That is the only way for us to create products that satisfy customers. The Tester team ran at full capacity and found 924 Errors, and in parallel, the Engineer team went to “Eradicate” those Errors. We waited anxiously, there were times when the highest number of outstanding errors was about 300 errors, the whole team was a bit discouraged. But the determination of the whole team once again inspired everyone, 200 Errors, then 100 Errors, the number of Errors was reduced to below 100. We temporarily breathed a sigh of relief. Towards the end, the tester team becomes more and more “weakened” because they can no longer find errors. And at 23:48 on October 17, we fixed the final Error. That’s all, we are proud of a Made in Vietnam product with quality that satisfies customers. From now on, of course there may be a few more Errors, but we are always ready to fix them immediately and always whenever we find them.
A project that Viet Vang has started from scratch to turnkey for customers. More than anyone else, we understand that project success is not only about sales, but also the value of the quality of work Viet Vang brings to customers. Stick to the working contract but always listen and share any new difficulties arising from the customer’s reality. That is the “guideline” that we always apply throughout this project.
After all, in the cinema management software market in Vietnam today, Vietnamese businesses are losing on their own “home turf”, The big guys all use foreign-written software. This small success of Viet Vang proves one thing: Vietnamese software businesses can completely do large, highly specific software projects, as long as they invest both effort and money. , plus the determination to do it “to the end”.
